22-year-old Michelle Gildenhuys from Cape Town, South Africa was crowned Miss Atlántico Internacional 2011 on February 12 in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The 1st runner-up was Karen Quiroz from Costa Rica, , and the 2nd runner-up title went to Miss Panama, Ana Maria Gordon. Three years ago, Michelle competed in Miss South Africa pageant.
